FiBA continues with the inclusive badminton dissemination

With the presence of FIBa's President, Carlo Beninati, was held in Rome, in the Olympic Sports Center of the Italian Army, a Para-Badminton Tournament organized by the "Vitinia Sport Club, with the cooperation of  the National Federation  and with the support of the Regione Lazio. 

In his welcome speech, the President Beninati underlined  the progress made in the development of Para-Badminton in the recent years especially thanks to the commitment of players and trainers. "It is a beautiful moment, we have conquered many important things: from the participation to international tournaments, and the organization of national and local Para-Badminton event,  to the partners in European projects such as B4ALL - his words -."FIBa has as well changed regulations that will allow the possibility to play more during the Para-Badminton Championships thanks to the introduction of the qualifying rounds. 

 

On the other hand , eleven players with disabilities from all Italy were present at the competition,(ASD Padova Badminton, ASD Sport Insieme, ITIS Marconi, ASD Vitinia Sport, Easy Play, Genoa BC, ASAM, GSPD and Picentia BC). The tournament represented an important moment of promotion and dissemination of Inclusive activty among people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
